So we’re finally back in Tokyo – it doesn’t really seem as if we’ve already been gone for two and a half months and we’re taking off for China in just over a week. Today we decided to take it easy and check out a couple things we missed when we were here in September. We started off at the Tsukuji fish market and wandered around there just checking everything out. They had tons of sea life all over the place, as well as knives, fishing hooks and restaurants. There must have been a big school outing because we passed the biggest group of schoolgirls we’ve ever seen, maybe 400! We had our breakfast at a sushi place – some salmon and we shared a piece of crab nigiri (pretty tasty)! So it was a pretty enjoyable and laid back morning except for the trip on the subway. We left at around 10am, and from our station we had to pack into the subway! There was barely enough room for breathing but it was definitely a Tokyo experience.

After Tsukuji, we headed over to Shibuya to check out Loft and Tokyu hands for an exciting shopping experience. We got through Loft and half of Tokyu Hands before we got really tired and had to seek out some lunch. We ended up at a Denny’s (Which is nothing like Denny’s in Canada) but it was still pretty tasty and relatively cheap for Tokyo anyways. After Shibuya, we were going to go check out Akihabara, but we’re pretty tired and we’re here for a while so there’s no need to do everything in one day. So now we’re just relaxing in our room and eating some white chocolate Oreo cookie sticks (which are delicious) and we’re going to go check out a grocery store for dinner later.
